Fr. Gerard J. McGlone, S.J., Ph.D. is a Senior Research Fellow at the Berkley Center for Religion, Peace and World Affairs. Previously at Georgetown, he was an Assistant Professor of Psychiatry in the School of Medicine. He was also recently the Chief Psychologist, the Director of Counseling Services, faculty and staff psychologist at the Pontifical North American College in Rome, Italy. He has been Executive Director of several major treatment centers for clergy and religious in the United States-Saint John Vianney Center and Guest House, Inc.
He is the lead author of Creating Safe and Sacred Places. He received two different Catholic Press Awards for both The Inner Life of Priests and To Be One In Christ: Intercultural Formation and Ministry published by Liturgical Press. He is also the lead author of the three nationally acclaimed sexual abuse prevention programs for religious and clergy entitled: Instruments of Hope and Healing, Conversations That Matter, and Critical Conversations.
