Portrait of Mike Hoffman Mike Hoffman is a childhood sexual abuse survivor. He kept the secret for over 30 years until finally coming forward to tell his story in 2006. He and his wife Kathy have been married for 26 years and have two beautiful adult children. Mike and his family live in the Edgebrook neighborhood of Chicago.

Book entitled Acts of Recovery by Mike Hoffman Mike documented his therapeutic healing journey in his book Acts of Recovery, The Story of One Man’s Ongoing Healing from Sexual Abuse by a Priest (ACTA Publications 2013). He is the recent past Board President of Prevent Child Abuse – Illinois, the leading statewide agency involved in child abuse prevention education and public awareness. He is chairman of the Hope and Healing Committee of the Archdiocese of Chicago, a committee of abuse survivors, priests and staff who reach out to other survivors to help heal wounds caused by abuse. He is Co-Founder of Healing Voices Magazine, President of Profiles in Catholicism, and Director of Patient Care Services at Graymont Medical.
